HPFX Publishing

Working on securities or stock exchange at HPFX Publishing gave me a totally different experience. Although my original major was corporate finance, securities still sound quite new to me. But as a person who likes new challenges, I started my work with this freelance team and got so many valuable experiences.

My work mostly covers:

- review forex and stock brokers; 

- sometimes work with clients to discuss keywords and contribute to build the best content

- write educational articles for their blogs (e.g. Who is the Forex Broker? or Is Forex the Biggest Money Making Market in the World?)

 

Biggest Challenge With HPFX Publishing

After a few months working, I won trust from the manager for my ability. He then entrusted me with a more challenging task. That was conducting technical analysis for a Vietnam's forex broker.

 

This work was the biggest challenge for me because it requires much knowledge and even trading experience.

 

Without trading experience, I struggled at first to recognize whether there was a sign for buy or sell decision.

 

But with the support of the manager, I read lots of documents to better understand technical models (e.g. Heads and Shoulders as in the example below).​

I even opened a demo account on MetaTrader 5 (a trading platform) and then did some mock transactions. This immersed me in how the market worked in reality. Also, I better understood how to use technical models to make a buy/sell decision. 

​

What I've Learnt From This Project

- broaden general knowledge of forex, stocks and crypto

- learn how to base buy/sell decisions on fundamental and technical analysis (that is, analyzing financial news and market fluctuation)

Achievements

- help clients increase web traffic and attract new leads (more potential traders)

- blog posts and articles are said to be informative and easy to understand for beginners

- be appreciated by the manager for hard work and quick ability to learn, so being allocated important, hard tasks a few months after working

- be appreciated by clients and readers for useful, unique content
